This evening I connected with a long time dear friend for supper. I had missed his company, spirit and presence for over a month now. We both felt like we were home; happy to share a meal, some wine and many a laugh together along with articulating to each other where we currently found ourselves on our own paths. It is very illuminating and clarifying to hear, for the first time, ones current assessment of "where I am at" expressed, unabridged, through dialogue with a close friend. A powerful and bonding experience and I friendship I am most grateful for.
After supper we bought a copy of The Driftwood, our local Salt Spring paper - as you know.

This is not the first time I have experienced this. So glad you don't 'dumb down' your writing. It was your writing style and the terminology used that caught my eye so many years ago. Yes, perhaps you make some of us run after, which is to say somewhat behind, you, but you are also teaching people how to fish. Perhaps some would prefer to just be handed the fish already wrapped?
