Tip of the Week: With Leo time in the rear view mirror and Virgo in the spotlight, it is time to adjust accordingly. The end of this 1/12 of the year pie marks Autumn Equinox. Thus this is both a time of completion and preparation for the new season. Of course, summer is still officially here and blending fun time in the sunshine is an ideal ingredient in the mix. With Mercury Retrograde until mid September, there is added reason to pay attention to the details - a Virgo specialty. Next weekend is already Labour Day, which for many marks the unofficial end of summer. This is especially noticeable as students return to school. But for those who have been saving their vacation time for the high and dry blue skies of September, summer will remain in full swing. The conjunction between Venus and Mars likely initiated new relationships, especially of the romantic sort. Other consequences of this union between the proverbial lovers include inspired expressions of beauty. The changing season can prove especially romantic and appealing to lovers and artists a like. While there is a common theme to each Zodiac Sign season for whatever region one lives in, the ever changing relationships between the planets bring their own cosmic and mysterious influence. Incidentally, the natural flow of the 4 seasons, each divided into 3 - beginning, middle and end, is the real reason for the 12 “signs” of the Zodiac. The ‘signs’ of the changing seasons are the likely origin of the Zodiac and the 12 constellations came later. The assumption that Astrology began with the constellations, a favourite of Astronomers and other critics of Astrology, is challenged by virtue of the fact that both Chinese and Mayan Astrology systems – both ancient – do not divide the year according to the constellational Zodiac. Call on Virgo to help you analyze this. Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20) Something special has been sparked in your relationship life. It is most likely your personal life, but perhaps professional or something of a mix, like romance at work. Whether you are in relationship, one has just begun or you are committed to finding true love, cupid is hovering around you. Pioneering initiatives are probable. You are enthusiastic and shooting high. Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21) Some people may be said to be married to their work. Balancing our life style means focusing on health, career/money, love and leisure/culture. It may be that you need new knowledge, training or wisdom/guidance in one or more of these areas. Your willingness to make the extra efforts now could pay off big for the longer term picture. An open mind opens the heart and vice versa. Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21) Working the angles to your favour is keeping you busy now. Thoughts about your romantic life may be one of the carrots leading you on. Changes in your career and/or realities and responsibilities are prominent parts of the plot. Amidst it all, a soul searching journey is guiding you within. Something important is beginning for you now but you must be patient and committed. Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22) A busy cycle has begun for you in mind, heart and deed. Your powers of analysis have been kicked into high gear. This may lead you to reflection and perhaps to wonder and wander. You are ready for some action and to get things rolling. Career and romance are both areas of interest. Your willingness to face fears and take risks is extra ideal. Do it now - two steps at a time! Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23) Virgo time suggests: pay closer attention to the details. An important learning curve has begun and includes your public and social network. Deepening your awareness of what people need is important. Deciphering how you can address their needs can help define your role. Make extra efforts now to build and improve upon existing foundations to meet others better. Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22) Like a race horse out of the gates, your focus is strong and enthusiasm high. Financial considerations are igniting your ambitions. Your willingness to make extra efforts is ideal if not necessary. Your overall power potential is on the rise and you are still in the foundation stages of this major cycle. Be willing to reveal are your talents, gifts and tricks. Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22) Sometimes it is better to work behind the scenes, like now. The work may be rest and retreat, which you may have to work at to do. Life is filled with such ironies. Perhaps you can achieve both by delegating responsibilities. How to do this and effectively may require extra initiative. Outline your objects so you are clear and ask for assistance. Meanwhile, aim to rest as much as you can. Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21) Taking new initiatives of some kind is a major theme these days. Much of what was is steadily dissolving and you must keep pave with the process. Perhaps it is lack and stagnation of some kind that is melting away. You may have to confront some of these head on to gain the higher ground. Get involved yet avoid big commitments and long term projects. Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21) Returns for past efforts are showing you how diligent or not you have been. Since the point of power is ever in the moment and since life is negotiable, opportunities are ever present. Outline your achievements and acknowledge them. Then, make them known. Be careful to not to underestimate your value and potential. Focus on emotional strength. Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) Mercury retrograde is something of a communications storm. No big deal for a seasoned sailor like you. As much as the old captain likes to brave the waves and lightening strikes, it is also important to be extra respectful and alert. This is a good time to gather new tools. Perhaps the most important asset is your own confidence. Take extra care as your storm ahead now. Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19) You are in a period of transition and change. How can you best make this work for you? Be willing to ‘get out of your own way’. Be open to advice, guidance and support from others. Be willing to push and play the cultural game. Get exposure and celebrate each small victory. While humility is good, false pride is not. Count your self as one among equals and play your part. Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20) Yielding too much to others can weaken our character and resolve. Conversely, sometimes knowing better what others want and need from us is precisely what is needed. In such cases, simply be willing to ask rather than waste time guessing. Be willing to adjust and change, and to undergo a process of transformation altogether if necessary.
