New Moon in Taurus – May 13, 2010

The practical gist of this New Moon at 23 Taurus 09, which will activate any planet a person may have within a couple of degrees either side of it (21-25 degrees) highlights variety. Mercury in Taurus and Venus in Gemini, each in the others sign, are reflective of this and offer a fine blend of energies towards the expression and appreciation of talents. Venus forming a harmonious and creative trine aspect (120 degrees) with Neptune suggests awakening, realization and healing. At what level and in what manner these may occur depends upon how this chart aspects any given person’s chart.

Generally, the theme is illustrative of abundance and of the activation of creativity born of higher visions. By tuning into the full essence of this seed event, you will feel inspired to take new initiatives that are geared to make a meaningful contribution to the world. The main stipulation of this chart pattern is that you feel free to create and take action and not from a place of feeling that you ‘have to’. So, rather than compulsively try to attend to new projects and complete them all at once, let the spirit of inspiration and yes, backed by clear intention, guide you to engage when it feels right.

The Sun/Moon conjunction forms aspects to Saturn in Virgo, Jupiter and Uranus still in Pisces and closely aligned, Neptune in the late degrees of Aquarius and Mars in Leo. The presence of Mars indicates an activation and this is especially so since the aspect is a square which = assertive action and change. The inclusion of all the far planets in the plot of this New Moon seed brings the bigger social and international or global picture to the fore. There is a decidedly spiritual tone present with Jupiter and Uranus closely aligned in Pisces and with Neptune in close conjunction with Chiron – the wounded healer, it is sure to contribute on both inner and outer levels to the collective awakening of the need for practical and creative action to address some of the larger issues we face at this dramatic time in history.

The activation of these far planets will blend with the ensuing themes of planetary alignments scheduled to occur less than a month from now. I am specifically referring to Jupiter conjunct Uranus at 0 Aries on June 8. It is worth noting that June 8^th will be the first of 3 conjunctions between Jupiter and Uranus between now and January 4 2011, but the final two will occur in the late degrees of Pisces. In fact these two latter conjunctions of Jupiter and Uranus will conjunct the current position of Jupiter at 26 Pisces. I will explain more in that article that is part of this newsletter but for now will conclude by saying that this indicates that this current New Moon is the soil in which many powerful seeds will be sown. It might be said that over the next couple of years or so we may well look back at this exact New Moon to bear witness to the cycle when Jack throws the beans and the great stalk leading to greater heights is sown.
