This is a very active time indeed. The days leading to Christmas are quite intense this year. The New Moon on December 17 indicates deep cultural themes are being activated. These stand to transcend political borders because the social and trans-social planets are involved. Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune all closely aligned in Aquarius implies spiritual healing and will be strongly activated as well. This is a rare triple conjunction that is awakening people to where and how humanity and civilization is wounded. Uranus in Pisces (since spring 2003) is also playing a lead role now and is serving to awaken humanity to the reality and power of the subconscious mind. This too will be activated strongly at this time. Saturn’s placement in Libra implies the weighing of the scales and karmic returns. It would appear that the scales indicate a mixed bag of extremes of positives and negatives. It is interesting that Mars would have formed a tensional Opposition aspect to all three planets. Yet as fate has it, Mars turns retrograde on December 20^th until March 10^th 2010. This is something of a blessing in the big picture; a surprising relief and just in time as the Opposition would otherwise have occurred in about a week’s time stirring stress levels with dramatic antics. Mars retrograde on a personal level basically implies lower energy levels and procrastinations.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

The world is shifting and shaking noticeably these days and so is yours. The last days of the year are reason to celebrate and prepare for the New Year. You are enthusiastic to do both. Balancing pragmatic thinking with a playful attitude will influence your choices noticeably. In the midst of attending to the many logical details, take time to seed dreams and nurture creative visions.

 Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Sex, death, taxes and where and when to invest constitute some of the deeper concerns of everyday life. The New Moon has activated these for you. Desires to see the bigger picture and to probe the mysteries will be activated. Expect sudden changes of fortune in your career or in your social status in association with key friendships as well. Trusting the flow can be challenging yet may prove necessary.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Some rather deep changes are brewing on relationship fronts. The urge for a new sense of freedom vies with desires to build stronger family ties. Amidst it all, you are undergoing personal changes of heart. You may feel the cold towards certain people, as though all of a sudden. Yet, it is likely that this feeling has been brewing within. Conversely, you are committed to the ‘new day’.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Changes in your core philosophy and outlook in general and consequently your lifestyle are evident now. These may have caught you by surprise. For the sake of realizing a brighter future, certain things simply must change. Endings are implied and fears are probably stirring. At best, you have you sights set on creating a better state of overall health. Surrender, quit, renounce as necessary.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

The time has come to take some creative initiatives. Experimenting with new approaches, innovations and technologies is likely. The time is right to do so now as your focus is strong with your powers of critical analysis peaking as well. Procrastination may prove costly. Be willing to review your overall approach. Be open to constructive criticism – ask for it. Aim to work smarter not harder.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

Shifts and changes close to home continue. You want to change the energy to feel the flow more fully. That feeling we get when we clean the house thoroughly or renovate or enter a new and clean space is the actual free flow of energy that has been released. Feng Shui enthusiasts assert that it is a key component of whole health. It can also produce new creative inspirations. Clean and clear, adorn and beautify!

 Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

New thoughts, ideas and visions are rolling in now. You want new information, insight, knowledge, answers. Pushing through and beyond apparent outer blocks invariably includes breaking through your own habitual perspectives. To change the projection, tend to the projector. Take it slow but sure with the process of pushing through and beyond and start from within.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Taking stock of your resources and assets as well as those of others that can benefit you is a strong theme now. Strong ambitions reinforced by the desire to feel more secure and vice versa are guiding your focus. Learning new skills, unlearning bad habits and/or teaching others the same is highlighted. Focus to balance open mindedness with deliberate, practical action.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

The seeds of new expressions were sown for you at the New Moon. You are ready to express a new style. Perhaps you have a new hairstyle or new clothing style or maybe you are ready to change your physique. At least you are in the mood to change your mind and the focus of your expressions will follow. The Full Moon will reveal the culmination of these changes. Entertain a new image.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

A new day is dawning for you. This will include a process of shedding old skins. This will become very apparent over the next couple of weeks. Everyone will be experiencing it. Circumstances are pushing people to pay attention and to be on best behaviour. Though you have reached the peak somehow, you may feel humbled. This is a good time to retreat if you can. Review your options and priorities.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

The spark of new friendships was ignited at the New Moon for you. More invitations and a yearning to increase your scope of contacts is a winning combination. A patient resolve to expand your horizons and learn new things is woven into the plot. Meanwhile, the integrity of your truth and the truth of your integrity is being brought to the surface. This is happening on a collective level as well. Call it soul searching.

 Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Making changes within for the sake of expressing yourself in new, more powerful ways is on your radar. Your attunement to the cosmic rhythms means you are working and preparing to present a more dynamic and progressive self image in 2010. Take note of your intuitive guidance, literally. Make a realistic plan and focus to follow through deliberately and do it now to be ready sometime in January.
