Horoscope for the week starting July 24, 2009

Tip of the Week:

            On the July 21^st New Moon we experienced a powerful Solar Eclipse. This event suggests some big shifts and changes that will prove impactful over the next six months. The path of the eclipse crosses through India and China, Japan, Korea and as far as Hawaii.  It is the second New Moon in Cancer in a row with this one at 29 Cancer 27, the last degree of the sign, which in Astrology is considered critical. The basic theme of this eclipse is one of reform. Where there is resistance to the changes that the reform implies, aggression, accidents and even violence can occur. People with planets or angles in their birth chart anywhere from 27 Cancer to 1 or 2 degrees of Leo will especially experience the impact. The change could prove very positive if engaged consciously and with a positive will and focus. At best, it will prove to be a much needed and push for necessary reform. At worst, it could prove to be a rather aggressive shove. Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Your creative juices are heating up! You want to have more fun and play. Romance is extra high on your list. You also crave variety when it comes to satisfying your desires these days. Fortunately, your energy levels are probably running high allowing you to cover a lot of ground. Issues of power – to control or be controlled – is the deeper story. Look to see your own ego projections to avoid unnecessary reaction dramas.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Creative cultivations at home are now in the spotlight. You are determined to express your originality. This will require greater awareness of what is already out there. Taking risks to be inventive are part of the plot. Some sort of healing of yourself and others is featured. As though called from a higher place to begin a special training, you may seek sanctuary to listen well to the call of your soul speaking through your heart.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Your fires are blazing brightly now. Fanned by the winds of lofty ideals, hopes and dreams, you are determined to succeed. However, is it possible that you are in your own way? Habitual perceptions, self-concepts, beliefs and behaviour patterns can prevent us from achieving our desires. Is it destiny, karma, social conditioning, perhaps all of the above? Set intentions, focus and visualize to break free. Make magic happen!

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Getting clear about who you are now in your life is a central theme. This includes deciphering what you do and do not want to have and do. This process will lead you to access the leadership and wisdom of significant others. You are preparing to make some major power moves. Patience with this process is important. For now, play with the prospects and get comfortable with new expressions of personal power.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

The time has come to take some pioneering initiatives. This includes reaching out to stimulate new networks. Breaking through existing patterns and relationship norms is central. Be willing to reach out to others. Building new networks is a feature of building new foundations to sustain current and future aspirations. Activate your perceptions to see yourself and the world and yourself in the world in new ways.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

A busy time creating, producing and organizing affairs behind the scenes is likely now. This includes both gathering and sharing new tools and skills. With your creative powers on the rise, you are wise to take time to secure your base. This includes organizing your home base so that meeting mundane responsibilities flows smoothly. This will support the more inspiring prospect of creative expressions.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

Expressing and sharing one’s creative originality with others is among the most exciting and satisfying aspects of life. Observe how happy are those who do and how lost or distant are those who do not. This is basically called ‘giving from the heart’. The giving is its own reward and the returns are a bonus. So, what is next in your creative destiny? Ask with sincerity and feeling and you will get answers.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

You are ready to step into the limelight. However, if you feel that something is missing, it may be the choice to share the attention. Taking independent strides has been important. But, if you have gone too far you may feel alone somehow. If so, take the lead to invite participation. Activating collaborative efforts will prove rewarding. Take a strategic and imaginative approach to merge your ideas, energies and talents.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

The light of a new day is shining in your skies. You may have endured a dark night or two of late, but that is behind you now. Do things to shake off the weight. Make sincere efforts to not let this inspiring energy turn into unwanted conflicts. Avoid imposing ‘shoulds’ on others, lest they rebound right back at you. Keep an open mind and avoid disruptive opinions.  Live and let live!

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

A deep submergence into the lair of your desires, feelings and passions is now underway. You are willing to give to people and situations, but you also want to receive. At best, you are able to sustain a strong focus now to pursue your ambitions. Alternatively, you may feel stuck in your mind about certain things. Beware of justified vendettas. If you hold resentments, you hold them…. Forgiveness will set you free.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Exploring new relationships are keeping you busy now. Whether these are professional or not, you want to experience a personal touch. Your approach may be rather sober and serious. You want to exercise as much discipline and integrity as is required for success. With so many changes brewing both within and without, you may be wondering about your direction and approach. Choose the path of love and you are sure to win!

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Taking a more creative approach to your work and daily routine in general is a source of inspiration now. You want to shake things up to improve your performance. The more receptive you are to constructive criticism now the better. You can even be your own source of this improvement process, but be careful not to become your own worse enemy by way of excessive criticism. Exercise patience, faith and perseverance to improve!
