Horoscope for the week starting May 22, 2009

            The Sun is now in Gemini. Yes, all the signs of the next seasonal phase are here. The flower blossoms and a natural wave of growth that we can expect each year in the time Taurus have now made their appearance and anchored their presence or have since declined giving way to new waves according to their season. The Sun in Gemini, or the season of Gemini – the signs are actually the signs we see in the natural environment and not so much in the constellational backdrop as many presume. The importance of the fixed stars and constellations do have their influences, but the seasonal round and its themes reigns supreme. So, the flowers and foliage will now enter into their next phase and a whole new host of life will bloom, because it is their time.

            The New Moon in Gemini season will actually occur in the constellation of Taurus and takes place on May 24^th. It will come as a surprise to the many who subscribe to the constellational authority over that of the seasonal that the themes of the New Moon will reflect Gemini themes and not Taurean. This is because the seasonal round and actual reality of the sunlight which is marked by the solstices and equinoxes each year are the real authority in Astrology. The constellations are actually the mythic side of the deal and clearly are projections of our seasonal and related psychological and spiritual experiences and realities here on earth. Many surveys have been taken to demonstrate that when it comes to personality characteristics, the seasonal signs of the Tropical Zodiac always supersede that of the Sidereal or constellational perspective which, due to the Precession of the Equinoxes, is currently 23 degrees behind the seasonal reality.  Astrologers know that all people are a synthesis of all the signs with some weighing in heavier than others and often the Zodiac Sign that precedes our own Sun Sign colors it most strongly, but not always. However, to know if and when this will be the case requires a deeper understanding of how Astrology works and many who criticize it on apparently logical grounds clearly do not know how it actually works. Nonetheless, the seasonal bloom of Gemini has arrived and however we might interpret it, it is a beautiful time of the year here indeed! 

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

With plenty of places to go and people to see, your social calendar may be all filled up. You are in the mood to explore. Necessity may be part of the deal. Finances may be the issue in this regard. At best you feel focused, determined and versatile and, at worst, stuck and blocked. Circumstances may be the issue but it may also be your own attitude and perspective. Outline clearly what you want and need and let intention magic go to work for you.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Your sights are firm and set. Whether by inspiration or desperation, you are looking for new angles, avenues and perhaps new streams of income. As ever, blocks and obstacles perhaps within, and/or without may be in your way. How to overcome them is ever the question. This is where imagination power comes in. On the other hand, determination backed by revolutionary action of some kind may be required. Set your focus to take risks.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

You are getting ready to spring into action. Yet, there may be certain delays and restrictions with which you must contend. This may be a source of anger and/or depression. Avoid rushing into things and making them happen with the force of your will at the expense of the reality of the greater flow of things. Look for signs and openings, yet be willing to explore your options more on the drawing board than in fact with literal action. The start you are seeking may come a little later than hoped so play along.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Seems a lot of people are laying a low these days, a little more than usual and you may be one of them. Amidst dreams and ambitions for more fun and money, you are eager to learn a few new tricks. Gathering new tools, techniques, tips and methods to meet with the changing times is likely. Beyond the everyday, reach for higher perspectives and truths. Security is not just financial and emotional, it is ultimately spiritual. Nurture a deeper connection with your heart and soul.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

Your individuality is showing in full color these days. All shades and shadows too are clearer for others to see. This may feel like a mixed blessing. Yet, with the right attitude it can be seen as a total blessing, as long as you are willing to see your shadowy parts that it. Your brighter colors are shining through as well, but the murkier sides are giving you the opportunity to identify and so heal or clear them. Getting the recognition you want may require that you polish your act even more.

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

Worldly ambitions are kicking you into high gear. Unfortunately, the shift mechanism may not be working to its full capacity… Don’t panic, persevere patiently. Decipher what is and is not working and as calmly as possible, make the necessary corrections and adjustments. Aim to take full responsibility for your situation and seek assistance as little as possible, but perhaps just a little. Where necessary step back or forward, as circumstances require, to see things realistically.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

It may be time to put your thinking cap on more securely. You want certain information, and clear answers and are willing to dig deep to get them. There is much shaking in your world, on both domestic and professional fronts. These brewing changes will become more evident by mid autumn and in a year from now especially. This will be true for many people, but you may be one of the first to tackle the situation head on. Get informed before you take big action!

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

The time has come to unload everything you do not need or want or that is blocking progress. As much as this may include stuff, it all includes attitudes, perspectives, self concepts, habits, jobs living arrangements etcetera. Cleaning, clearing, cleaning, purging or whatever it takes to feel lighter yet more focused. Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Taking a closer look at the quality of your relationships, both personal and professional, is the call now. You may be in a playful and romantic mood. Further, you are ready to secure a better deal somehow, to consolidate a more reliable foundation. There remains strong indications that you might tend to scatter your focus so pay attention to that. Aim for quieter pastures where you can feel more peaceful, stable and secure.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Attending to the many details that require your attention is keeping you busy now. At best, you can focus on creative projects to which you can devote your full attention. Renovations, clean-ups and/or creating more beauty and order close to otherwise will prove satisfying. Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

Creating your base close to home and journeying from there will bring fulfilment now. Your ambitions will remain strong for a while yet and your ability to weave fun and games with production and progress is the tricky challenge.
